The Oxeye Daisy flower has a bright yellow middle surrounded by white petals, with a single flower sitting on top of a tall stem that sways in the breeze from spring throughout summer. The leaves at the base of the stem are a rich dark green colour that are spoon-shaped.

Oxeye daisies are a perennial wildflower that can be found growing naturally in low maintenance vibrant grassy environments, including meadows, fields, open woodlands and motorway embankments. Oxeye daisies are very commonly used as ornamental plants and are grown in gardens all across the UK. They can be planted in grass or flower borders and are particularly well suited to cottage gardens.

Its large blooms appear from July to September and are so bright that they appear to 'glow' in the evening, hence the other common names of 'moon daisy' and 'moon penny'.
