Your wedding is one of the most memorable days of your life, but did you know that it’s also one of the most wasteful? The average wedding can produce 400 to 600 pounds of rubbish and 63 tons of CO2 – all in one day!  

Weddings can create an excessive amount of waste, from the invitations to the place cards and the menus. Luckily, sustainable weddings are trending and more and more of us are getting on board. Planning an eco-friendly wedding doesn’t have to be any more challenging than planning a ‘normal’ ceremony. However, it can be a struggle to know where to start. That’s why we’re here to help, we’ll provide you with alternatives and solutions that will help with paper waste on, and leading up to, your special day!  

We stock a wide range of sustainable wedding favours so you can make those small changes and get you started on your eco-friendly wedding planning journey. Our Wedding Favour range includes printed on plantable paper, and yes... they will actually grow! Alternative paper types are also available to suit your chosen aesthetic.  

For each order we will plant a tree to offset the carbon emissions. We also offer a fully customisable design service where you can work with one of our amazing graphics designers for the perfect favours for you big day. 

 
More About Our Types Of Paper:  

✔ SEED PAPER  

There are two different types of seed paper Lux and Bloom, both are more eco-friendly alternative to standard papers. 

Lux seed paper comes is great for assured quality and beautiful texture. For a high-quality finish, this is the paper of choice, although growth rates are lower. 

Bloom seed paper offers a much higher growth rate. As the paper is air dried it gives a more rustic finish. Although there are less seeds in this paper, they are more likely to grow due to how this paper is manufactured. 

To get your paper growing, submerge in 3-5mm of water and keep in natural light. After a few days or weeks, the seeds will start sprouting. Transfer to a pot with compost and water regularly.  

✔ ELEPHANT POO PAPER  

Although it might not sound very pleasant, if you want eco-friendly, natural and unique paper, this one is for you. Handmade in India from elephant poo and cotton fibres, each sheet of this paper is different. This paper also provides a source of income for the elephant sanctuaries.  

✔ SUGARCANE PAPER  

Again, for another beautiful and unique eco-friendly paper, we also offer Sugarcane paper. Handmade from Sugarcane and cotton fibres in India, this is a great way to use the plants leftovers and reducing waste. 

✔ ECO COTTON  

The ECO Cotton range is also very unique! Made from old clothing such as from old t-shirts to socks, dresses and even jeans this paper is a great alternative to standard options. They also do not require the chopping down of trees to make!
